Our Mission

Be the Change in Mental Health is a pioneering organization dedicated to making Psychedelic-assisted Psychotherapy and Innovative Mental Health Treatments accessible to the public in a legal and medically-supervised manner. Our team, which includes medical doctors and licensed therapists, provides services aimed at helping individuals, including first responders, veterans and women who have suffered from abuse, with treatment-resistant mental health issues like depression, generalized anxiety disorder and trauma.

Our organization's primary goal is to establish a scalable model of accessible and affordable mental health care in order for clinics Nationwide to be able to provide these potentially life changing therapies to anyone who could benefit from them.

Our treatments explained by Dr. Marisha Chilcott, MD

Our treatments adhere to scientifically proven protocols and comply with the regulations of the Department of Justice, the California Board of Medicine, and the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS). BTC is a recognized outpatient mental health clinic, ensuring that accommodations are limited to daytime visits and are available on demand. Patients undergo a thorough initial consultation by a medical doctor to ensure they can safely undergo the treatment, followed by a consultation by a licensed therapist to determine the most suitable treatment approach for their specific condition, concern or goal.

Ketamine-assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)

We use FDA-approved medication ketamine in conjunction with therapy provided by highly-trained psychotherapists. The combination of ketamine as an adjunct to therapy has been shown to yield remarkable and enduring improvements in the patient's mental health and overall well-being. The results can be incredible and can be life changing.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)

Be the Change offers NeuroStar TMS, a noninvasive procedure in which the brain is stimulated in specific locations. These sites are known to be under-active in those who suffer from depression. The targeted magnetic pulses are delivered by a NeuroStar TMS device, which returns extremely effective, consistent, and reproducible results.

Healing begins with you . . . Be the Change!

Do you know someone who needs some hope?

Depression is a painful, sometimes chronic, and often recurrent disease. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is an effective and durable treatment option. Ketamine-assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a legal and safe mind-changing mechanism to achieve new ways of feeling and being in the world.

Do you want to level up your mental health?

You do not need to be sick to want to be more well! Ketamine administered with psychotherapeutic guidance can build on your current well-being and help you develop deeper meaning in your life. We are surviving, but how about thriving?

Scalable Model

Our objective is to create a scalable model for additional mental health clinics across the U.S.A. that deliver these potentially life-saving therapies to millions of people including first responders, veterans and women who have suffered from abuse.

Overarching goal of why this is important

Our aim is to change mental health treatment from ongoing medication and therapy to results-driven care. Our goal is to enact meaningful beneficial changes as an alternative to ongoing management of problems. Patients must actively engage, commit, and face their conditions. While no guarantees exist, full commitment and a positive mindset are vital.
